  • Participant-led Workshops & Volunteering

    As a retreat participant, you can volunteer with our partner NGO, Fundatia Roots, by leading workshops to give back to the local community. Participants also have access to cultural and professional sessions, which in the past have included AI and wellness talks, insights from a Columbia journalist, social media marketing tips from a Tik Tok influencer, public speaking workshops, and artist talks from our international residents.

  • Local Castle Visit

    Just a 20-minute walk or 5-minute drive from town, you’ll reach Peles Castle, Transylvania’s most famous and significant castle, offering breathtaking views of the Carpathian Mountains and fresh mountain air.

  • Hike the Carpathian Mountains

    Hike the Bucegi Mountains in the Carpathians and explore iconic landmarks like Omu Peak and the Sphinx. The trails are accessible and offer a refreshing escape into mountain air, perfect for spring and summer when wildflowers bloom or in winter as the first snow begins to blanket the landscape.

The group was warm and open, the perfect size to really connect, and everyone shared something personal through workshops, talks, or fun activities. Sinaia itself was the ideal setting, a peaceful mountain town surrounded by nature where it’s easy to relax, breathe, and slow down. Having free access to the amenities of a four-star hotel, from the indoor pool to the sauna and gym, added this gentle touch of comfort that made the days feel even more special. What truly made the experience stand out was how kind and supportive the team was. You could turn to them with anything and they always met you with genuine warmth.
